Certainly an essential place in Montreuillois cultural life, but a lot of effort needs to be made in terms of welcome and friendliness. On the other hand, 5* for the Kraft stationery annex!
Folie d'Encre is a beautiful and pleasant bookstore, anchored in Montreuil!
Upstairs, cozy little corners, where children can browse the books, before making their choice or not.
The whole team, very friendly and competent, gives very good reading advice, and books to offer! Aris, a young man newly arrived in the area, already has the qualities required to quickly become an excellent bookseller. As for Yaele, at Kraft, the other bookstore, a few meters away, she manages the space with taste, and great customer relations. Workshops for young people are organized there regularly. I wink, of course, to all those from Folie d’encre that I haven’t named. Those who have had all my sympathy for a long time. Let's not forget the great literary meetings, scheduled at the start of the evening with the equally adorable Fabulos Lectors of Montreuil! For each of these meetings, it is always a beautiful moment. We're having fun, well beyond the evenings!

Here is a Folie d'Encre bookstore which is a nice little discovery not far from metro exit 9 of the Croix de Chavaux in Montreuil!
It's like a labyrinth of stairs and different rooms all arranged by theme and with lots of tastes and it's often one of the most enjoyable things because it's this atypical side of the brings curiosity and want to come back. This allows all ages to enjoy getting lost in the discovery of various well-known and lesser-known works.
The team I met is very responsive, smiling, friendly and professional. This day, the organization was toured by Sir Ian Livingstone, author of the “books in which you are the hero” and as often during the signings it is a bit of a free-for-all in large distribution places selling everything on culture …and not at all, good-natured, respectful, in joy and silence and with the chouquettes, a pleasant moment for this kind of literary encounter: a real pleasure more when it is given to the bookseller and the fans to be able to approach closely a writer, an editor.
It's always a plus to have this kind of bookstore in your town, as I came by chance (luckily) for a book signing and I'm happy to come across such an establishment. Thanks to them !
Pleasant shop, large selection of fun games, books, unique cards, etc.
The bookstore is very big and nice. The staff is pleasant and gives good advice.
But, maybe it's bad luck on my part, every time I go there the shop is full of customers and it's difficult to move around.
